Petit Automne is a small shop built around one season.
It started with a simple frustration. Every year from late September the shops fill up with the same thing: plastic gore, screaming props, everything black and orange and loud. And every year we wanted something else — the warm version of autumn. Candlelight on a wooden table. Leaves strung across a doorway. A house that feels glad the evenings are getting longer.
So we made a shop for that.
What we look for
Everything here has to pass the same test: would it still look good on the mantel in November, once the pumpkins are gone?
That rules out a lot. It rules out anything that only works for one night, anything that has to shock to be interesting, anything that looks cheap the moment you get it out of the box. What it leaves is warm light, soft textures and a few pieces with enough character to earn their place year after year.
There is a ghost or two, of course. We are not against Halloween. We just think the good version of it is closer to woodsmoke and candlelight than to fake blood.
How we work
We are small — one person, choosing every piece by hand and writing every description on this site. We are not a warehouse and we are not a marketplace. If something is not good enough, it does not go up.
We ship to the United States and Canada, free on every order, and every parcel is tracked from the moment it leaves.
If something goes wrong
Write to us. A real person reads every message and replies within two business days, Monday to Friday. If your order arrived damaged or is not what you expected, we cover the return and put it right — no argument, no forms.
That is the whole thing. A small shop, a short season, and a few good pieces to get you through the dark months.
